Modern-day Christian scholar, N.T. Wright wrote the following:

The mission statement for our congregation is to know Jesus and make Jesus known. We aren’t perfect – far from it; however, we are striving to study the Bible as the
inspired word of God, learning from the life and teachings of Jesus to learn from his example to do and be what he calls us to.
